Today at the grocery store I discovered a brand of tea that is new to me. It is called
two leaves and a bud and bills itself as a distributor of "single region teas." After reading a couple of tea history books (
see below), and learning about the different tea growing areas, Iwanted to taste tea that was identified as coming from a specific area. The first tea I selected was this one, pictured above. It is identified as coming from the assam area of northern india. I selected this one to try first because like a hearty black tea in the morning, and an assam fits the bill.

Lynn, another great tea book is Jane Pettigrew's "The Tea Companion". I love the way she's got it divided up by tea growing region. Very informative.
I have seen this company, tho I have not tried one of their teas (yet). Tahnks for sharing!
